Dear Fellow Hornet Alumni--

Welcome to Khornetsoccer.com -- a web site that was created with one main goal in mind: getting all of our alumni reconnected and reinvolved with the K soccer program!

In January 2005, I took over the K-College women's soccer program as head coach, a position I held for 3 seasons until passing on the reins to my former assistant coach, Bryan Goyings (another K alum who has a giant love for K soccer!). One of the main goals we worked toward throughout the past few years was to increase alumni involvement. We all know that the Kalamazoo College women's soccer program has more tradition and history than almost any other college soccer program in the country... we have one of the largest and most talented groups of alumni around... and yet, through no fault of our own, for years our alumni were extremely uninvolved with their Hornet Soccer roots. A steady stream of coaching changes in the late-1990s and early-2000s made it nearly impossible for the program's alumni to stay in touch with the program. Together, though, this is something that we have been changing during the past few years!

On this page, we've compiled a bunch of information and resources to help you get reinvolved in being a Hornet. First and foremost... PLEASE COME TO HOMECOMING 2009 AND PLAY IN THE 5th ANNUAL WOMEN'S SOCCER ALUMNI GAME! Check below for more details, and for RSVP instructions.

If we all band together and throw our support behind the Hornet soccer program, it will be able to carry on the great tradition set by alumni in years past... and meet (perhaps even surpass?) the level of success achieved by the teams of the past.

HORNET WOMEN'S SOCCER ALUMNI INFORMATION / RESOURCES   2009 ALUMNI EVENTS SATURDAY 10/17 (2:30pm): The 5th Annual "Orange vs Black Game" (Alumni Game) will be held following the Hornets' Homecoming game against Olivet College (MI), which kicks off at 12:00pm. More details about this event are available on Facebook at the "Kalamazoo College Women's Soccer Alumni" group page. E-mail invites have also been sent to all alumni in our database. As always, for those who can't actually play, we'll have a during- and post-game picnic, and we want you all to attend! Please RSVP via our Facebook event invite page... or for those of you not yet on FB, please send us an RSVP e-mail if you would like to RSVP right now. Thanks! SPRING 2010 (TENTATIVE/TBA): The 1st Annual "Hornet Soccer-Golf Outing" is in the planning stages. More info will be made available late this fall (or early-winter), but the basics are that we'll have a soccer-golf course set up at MacKenzie Field, complete with a pre-golf continental breakfast, a post-golf lunch, a roaming beverage cart... etc. We anticipate this being a very fun event in the years to come!
