I love to garden, and over the years I have amassed quite an inventory of plants in my yard. I used to simply give extra plants away to neighbors and friends when things got overgrown . . . but after a while, people started to run and hide when they saw me coming! Now I dig up my extras once a year and sell them CHEAP on my driveway. Most things sell for $2-3 each, with the exception of a few items that are a bit more (or less!). Either way, you'll save bundles of money as compared to the prices you'd pay at nurseries or home improvement centers. Meanwhile, I get to thin out my plants and have $$ to buy more . . . so everyone wins!

After giving my plants (and myself) a break last year, I’m ready for the 2011 Plant Sale, which will be held on the following two Saturdays -- May 28 and June 4, 2011 (8:00am until 1:00pm each day).

And if you don’t have a green thumb, you’ll still find things to catch your eye for your yard . . . from painted gourd birdhouses to concrete relief leaves. There’s something for everyone!

I’m going to be doing a makeover of a large bed this year, and most of the plants in the bed are going to be relocated -- hopefully to you! There should be a number of plants that you haven’t seen at my sale before, including many varieties of daylilies, clematis, and mums. (Remember, Spring is the best time to plant mums so they get a foothold . . . and my mums are HARDY!)

A MAJOR FAUX PAUX: I’m afraid I lost all of the e-mail addresses from those of you who had signed up for my mailing list. I was a Verizon customer and didn’t realize that I had to transfer everything in my “sub-accounts” in addition to my main account when things switched over.
